Which golf rangefinder is MY golf good enough for?

Ok so there is a new concept in the way golfers are starting to look at golf gps rangefinders when they are deciding which one to opt for, instead of looking at the rangefinder and then deciding they are starting to think in more detail about which unit there golf is suitable for.

For example a golfer that is only an entry level golfer would now focus on what their game needs to be improved, whereas a more competitive golfer that plays in comps will approach the decision from the point of view that they are looking for a competition friendly device.

So lets take a look at the different types of golfers and their needs-

Harry is an entry level golfer who has only played golf for a couple of months, hes keen to get to grips with distances on the course but as he’s only been playing for a short time doesn’t want to spend too much, Harry asks what unit will suit him and give him a good game. For someone in Harry’s predicament we recommended two units-either the Bushnell neo plus, which is a very impressive and cheap for the technology or the skycaddie refurbished sg5. Both units are not too much of a financial investment for those that have only just started to enjoy golf.

Margery has played golf for several years but has not got a good grip on technology, she is looking for a sound piece of kit that will also be ok to use in the rain as she’s not a fair-weather golfer and isn’t afraid of getting a bit of rain in her hair. We gave Margery some advice over the phone and decided that as she’s not too keen on using the computer a great device for her that is also weather friendly would be the GOLF BUDDY WORLD this unit is so easy to use and get up and running you could literally do it all with your eyes shut. As Margery was also worried about having to dowload courses the golf buddy world also ticks all the boxes as it comes with all course already on the unit.

Edward was a golfer who is near the top of his game, he is very gadget friendly and looking for a piece of golfing kit that’s as good looking as the other gadgets in his bag, mainly an Ipod touch and an apple mac. Edward wasn’t too bothered about budget but did stress that as hes so familiar with the joystick and touch technology he didn’t want to have to keep changing format. For Edward the unit that came to mind for us for its good looks and high level of technology, plus joystick control was the formidable skycaddie sgx. This unit looks and performs on spec with the apple collection so its perfect for those like Edward that want a high spec unit that will impress friends.

Were sure you will see that there are several different levels of golf gps units on the market depending on what your looking for in terms of how you perform on the course, from entry level to high end there are golf gps units that can help all golfers.

What affect does the weather have on golfers??

So with the up and down weather were getting thrown at us in the UK at the moment its no wonder many golfers are struggling to decide which kit to take out on the course, an umbrella or sun cream!

So how can golfers decide which items they really need when its time to pack up the old kit bag and get ready for action? Well considering the change in weather at the recent championships at St Andrews it no wonder golfers cant choose how the weather will pan out when they start out on the course.  Northern Ireland’s Michael Hoey birdied three of the last four holes to claim the biggest title of his career and condemn Rory McIlroy to a frustrating runner-up finish at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews. In a round that began in torrential rain, Hoey, 32, squandered his three stroke overnight lead playing the first seven holes of the final round in one over par.so as you can see its not just as amatauer golfers that get to suffer from the changing weather. Pro’s and champions also seem to be highly effected by the changing elements too.

So what can be done to guarantee that dispite the poor or changing weather you will be able to continue with you game and get the best out of your kit and perform well throughout the day. Well a sound example of how you can eclipse other superstars at your local course is to take advantage of the benefits a golf gps unit can make yo your game. These classic units can help you identify exactly where bunkers and obstacles lie on the course so you can plan well ahead and not be so put off by the weather.

How to become the Andy Murray of the golf world

We all know many Britons don’t expect Andy Murray to lift the trophy this week but how can you equal his success if he does and become the king of the golfing world?

Well we feel its not about just natural flair and talent but alot is based around your actual ability to stop and analyse your game, thats why like millions of golfers we have been so captivated by the creation of golf gps devices.

A golf gps device is not  just a flashy looking gadget to pull out of the golf bag when times get tough, not this superior 2011/2012 range of golf  gps devices which come complete with the added benefits of being a virtual score card so you can focus solely on your game and start following in Andy Murrays steps and getting global recognition for your sporting ability.

Remember with a golfgps device its not all about golf, many of these golf gps devices double up as car sat navs too so you can use them in as many ways as you wish, Should you want a golf gps device that comes in a unique colour or finish then you will also find many additional accessories available to help you customise the unit and get the very best from your golf gps device.

Just as Andy Murray is able to choose from a selection of rackets before he hits the course in the golfing world golfers can choose from a wide collection of golf gps devices- from international brands to classic well established favourites there are many golf gps device brands to choose from.

Whilst Andy Murray may favour the Wilson and Adidas brands we feel many golfer like Poulter have chosen classics from the golfing world like the Bushnell golf gps device range, this collection is ever changing and indeed Bushnell have released  on of the most highly regarded golf gps devices to date in the form of the combined golf gps and golf laser technologies- the Bushnell Hybrid is a new arrival into our collection and has been flying off the virtual shelves of our store.

The thinking that’s seems to sway most golfer is the technical support you get, we like to think of ourselves as a golfers coach. We will virtually stand on the side of the green and guide you every step of the way, so if you ever encounter any problems with your unit we can help you.

Down to my last ten pound, what do I buy?

?????

Yes thats it I have finally hit my last £10 and am desperate to consider what I should splash my last few pounds of cash on, well I have considered heading to the shops and buying a few lottery cards but considering my recent run of bad luck Im not so sure this si the way forward. So what are my remaining options??Well  I could always do what the top golf pros do and have a round of golf?Y es im thinking this may be the way forward but what about the expensive course planner I will need to fork out on??

Again I hear you say yet more money, well in my case im pleased top say this is not a problem as I have already invested my hard earned pennies on a Golf buddy world unit from Golfgps. So I don’t need to worry about the cost of course planners every time I hit the balls at a new course. Instead I have the luxury of being able to switch on my Golf buddy while my peers all stand in a long queue at the pro shop. The best thing about not having to buy course planners every time you venture out onto new territories is that you don’t end up with an earful from the wife when she spots a new planner in your golf bag or in the car.

A worthwhile investment doesn’t come much more profitable than a golf gps unit and the current range of high spec units are worth their weight in gold when you take them out and about on the course. Coming with a massive collection of features there is all the technology even a Nasa boffin could master. If you can read a course planner then you can guide your way around the course using a golf gps unit. They are so simple to master and use that you don’t need to worry about having excellent 20/20 vision or a BA in IT!!

What exactly does a Golf rangefinder do??

Benefitting from taking on golf from a whole new perspective the rangefinders job is to be your personal caddy and course planner. Equipped with enough software to store thousands of courses the GPS units role is to provide you with a hawk like view of each and every hole on the course. By providing you with the exact yardage you can plan your shots more accurately and will find your handicap improving in no time.

So how exactly does a golf rangefinder work, well for starters they emit a laser beam that will focus on an object and then the range finder appraises the distance in the time it will take for the laser beam to bounce back from the subject and return to the rangefinder.

Basically what the golf rangefinder allows a golfer to do is accurately snipe their way to the hole. The golf rangefinder presents the distance instantly and far quicker than if you use a course planner.

Many rangefinders also provide you spot-on distance even if the target is blocked by any debris (leaves) or any other hazard present on the golf courses. Golf rangefinders are a necessary accessory for almost any golfer. A few of the improved rangefinders that are available will give you 1 yard exactness for approximately 1500 yards distance.
